We are happy to share this upcoming event at the prestigious, Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver.
The amazing production known as "Small Island Big Song", comes to us from the South Pacific and takes place on Feb. 16, 2024. I am happy to see organizations such as SIBS that share the same passion as The MANA Initiative and are making strides in the Cultural Performance spaces. Please join us on this evening in welcoming this troupe.

After years of planning, the wait is finally over.
The MANA Initiative was an idea we wanted to bring to life a few years back. We were anxious to begin. To share our vision with everyone. It was deeper than wanting to hold performances, it became an initiative.
It was not the name we originally thought of. We searched far and wide for a name that spoke to who we are, our values, and our culture. One evening in a casual conversation with other members, the word MANA is often used to embody everything positive, or one's spirit. After hearing it spoken in many conversations, the decision was easy, MANA it was.
In 2020, Covid presented many challenges that prevented us from launching. This period of uncertainty came as a blessing as it allowed us to cultivate deeper relationships with the Pacific Islander communities locally and many of them abroad. Long-established relationships that were seasoned through existing with one another, gatherings, and get-togethers, along with so many new ones, we are truly grateful for.
With MANA Initiative, our festivals will be a celebration of life, connections, and of culture. Let us take you on a journey to the islands. We are very excited about our upcoming event in August! It will be fun-filled, packed with excitement, and an event for the ages!
We are very passionate about sharing our way of life with everyone whether they be local, non-local, native, or visitor, it is all the same to us. We embrace all people, acknowledge each and every person, and welcome everyone. At the "A Day in Polynesia" event, we will provide cultural-immersive experiences executed through beautifully curated songs and dances. There will be traditional artisans, arts & crafts, island cuisines to treat your senses, music ensembles, and more.
— MANA Initiative is much more than entertainment. We are an organization looking to collaborate and partner with like-minded outfits for our community outreach events, educational forums, Tech-inspired courses for future generations, Trade mentorship, and more. In perpetuating this vision, we were so blessed in receiving full support and sponsorship from the amazing staff and members of the City of Aurora. Without them, none of this would be possible.
Our goal is to be an all-inclusive Pacific Island Nations-represented event for you to enjoy! We aim to curate performances that are authentic and engaging. There's more to our events, it's telling a story, a story about us. Come and let us share it with you.
